heidi day

hope ambassador

spokesperson of hope campaign

Heidi Day, teen cancer survivor and Kneaders Bakery and Cafe, Hope Fights Childhood Cancer Campaign Spokesperson, was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Non-Hodgkins Disease when she was 14 years old, after noticing a large lump on her neck. Once diagnosed, Heidi endured two years of chemotherapy treatments and declared free from cancer at the age of 16.  When asked what her biggest fear was as a teen fighting cancer, Heidi stated, “Not having a future and that people would treat me differently because they didn’t believe I had a future. . . I was told I would never have children.”  Proving those fears wrong, Heidi is now married to Jonathan Day, Director of Restaurant Management with Kneaders in Arizona, and lives in Phoenix, where she has four children under the age of five years old. “I am happy to be the voice of the Kneaders Hope Fights Childhood Cancer campaign. I have never forgotten the strength of the youth in the oncology department. They inspired me with their positive attitudes and I want to bring that kind of hope to people too.”
